Just found this great video by Boston Dynamics, a company that specializes in "Lifelike Human Simulation". Quite an awesome description I must say.

The part where it kinda slips on the ice and tries to regain balance is where the "Uncanny Valley" effect kicks in for me. I am really looking forward to seeing this technology seep down from the military and into the consumer market. There are strange and exciting times ahead.
