Triumph!

For the last two years I've had an itch. Last month that itch got really, really itchy. Two days ago I finally decided to scratch that itch.
I climbed a mountain!
I've been driving to Reykjavík every day (40 minute commute) for the last year or so and always were my eyes fixated on one mountain. It's called Keilir and is a respectable 379m tall. Alright, so it's not exactly Mount Everest but it did take a good 30-40 minutes to get to the top. I suspect it might be partly my fault (hey, round is a shape!) but it was jolly good fun non the less. It takes about 1,5 hours to get to the base of the mountain from the road.
We (me and my girlfriend) met a lot of people on the way since it was a very sunny day and this is evidently a very popular hiking route. Surprisingly, there were no tourists. Every one of those people were Icelandic and that was not what we were expecting.
Finally, I leave you with a picture of me and Thelma at the top. We are very proud of ourselves!
